  1. Mahabharata
•Arjuna and Krishnawent to the banks of the river Yamuna and met Agni, a Brahmin
•Agni needed to eat, but ordinary food wasn't enough
oHe asked Arjuna and Krishna to help him eat the entire Khandava forest, so they started to burn the forest
•Indra (from heaven) heard about this and sent clouds to stop the fire, but Arjuna stopped the water with a blanket of a thousand arrows

    Elbow Papers
•We partnered up with people who have the same or similar countries and helped work on our papers
o Discussed our symbols and compared/contrasted them
o Gave some tips to each other on what we should and shouldn't do

Also talked about Dante's Inferno. After turning in the paper online, you have to email Mrs. Shigemitsu and ask to sign up for a section of hell from Dante's Inferno.

    Dante's Inferno
•Comedy, used to be very poetic (now easier to read)
    •Dante- middle aged
oA little sleepy, lost his way
•Sees a leopard in front of her
    oLeopard represents cunningness, slyness, etc
•Then a hungry lion came by
    oLion represents pride
    •Then a she-wolf appears
    oRepresents hunger, greed, etc.
•Dante then meets a Greek Poet (Virgil)
oThis poet represents truth and virtue
•Dante wants Virgil to guide him into hell
•(Dante frequently faints, which is used to transition between scenes)
•He is in front of the gate now, reads a sign, and enters
