  1. Mahabarta Continuation:
Duredyana exclaimed, this is the happiest day of my life. Dropedi is our slave. Duredyana sent his slave to go get Dropedi. Dusanna, Duredyana slave, went up to the apartments to get Dropedi. She tries to argue and refuses to go. Dusanna gets angry and drags her out to the court. Dusanna demands she pay homage to Duredyana, drags her by her hair in front of Duredyana. She asks Yudhistera whether or not she is the slave of the Kudavras. Redeya commands the Pandavas to take off their robes and Dropedi to take off her sari. She cried tears and cried praises to the Lord to save her. As Dusanna pulled Dropedi's sari, but a miracle happened and no matter how hard or much he pulled, Dropedi's sari cloth just kept growing and growing. Beema tries to defend her, but Redeya stops them. Duredyana lifts up his robe and slaps his bare thigh. Duredyana votes for one more game, a last dice game where the loser has to go into exile for 12 years

Dante's Inferno is the first part of an epic poem. Depicts adventures that Dante has as he travels deep into Hell. Dante began life immersed in politics in Florence. Becoming a threat, Dante was exiled by the leaders of Florence. Many characters in his poem were people that he despised and hated. Different Circles have different characteristics and different punishments.

Minos is in Level 2 of Hell, the Lustful Circle. Modern people that would be in this circle, Bill Clinton, Tiger Woods, etc.

    Questions:
1.What is Minos's role and how does he carry it out? Deciding which circle of hell's
    2. Canto V Line 28-40(Depicted the lustful swirling around) Why do you think that Dante choose this specific punishment for the lustful? Because when you fall in love, you get swept off your feet and you can't control yourself or concentrate on anything else.
3.When Dante saw the couple, Francesca and Paolo, and where lustful and unfaithful together, why does he feel sorry for them? Would you feel pity for those kinds of people? Or do you think they deserve to be in hell because of this? Some people in the class didn't feel sorry for them, while others did. Dante is sort of saying that it isn't quite okay to be lost in love, but its not that bad.
    4. According to the story by Francesca, her husband finds out about their affair and kills them both. What do you think happened to this husband? Went down to a lower level of Hell.
5.At the bottom of page 41 "Love which absolves none who are loved from loving.... decipher this.
It means love doesn't set you free, once you love someone you will still be guilty.
